Day
1 Lake Tahoe
Only in San Francisco will you hear the chime of the cable cars,
overlook Alcatraz, and smell the savory chocolate of Godiva.
That’s why we kick this tour off with a stint in one of
our favorite cities. Pose by the Golden Gate Bridge (it’s
actually red!), wave hello to the seals at Fisherman’s
Wharf, and spend some time in one of the world’s most
renowned Chinatowns.
Next up is a playground
for all-seasons, Lake Tahoe. Whether it’s adventure
sports or a relaxing oasis, Lake Tahoe has it all and then
some.
Day
2 Sierra Nevadas
A serene backdrop follows at the famed Sierra Nevadas. An
option for adventure awaits underground. Try something new
during a caving expedition to explore mysterious caverns by
foot, hands and knees. Twist, grind, and crawl on your belly
like a reptile for some subterranean adventure. If a glass
of vino sounds a little more enticing, then no worries, we’re
in wine country and can suite your tastes.
Days 3, 4 Yosemite National Park
Love waterfalls? Then you’re headed to the right place.
At Yosemite, one of USA’s national park system’s
crown jewels, you’ll have the opportunity to bike the
valley, float the river, or hike the trails of this picturesque
paradise. Prepare to be stunned by granite symbols El Capitan
and Half Dome that guard over the valley. As a bonus, take
one of our most highly recommended hikes to Nevada Falls where
a surprise from nature awaits you at the top.
Day 5 Big Sur
Get ready for some Big Sur action! Nestled between the powerful
Pacific Ocean and nearby mountains, Big Sur is a mandatory
stop in this part of California. There’s some fantabulous
hiking and nice vistas around these parts.
Days 6 Pacific Coast and
Hwy 1
Sit back, take a deep breath, and get ready for one of the
most spectacular rides you’ll ever take in your life.
Ride the Famous Pacific Coast Highway with breathtaking scenery
around every bend as well as a few famous landmarks along
the way like Hearst Castle, the unimaginable palace-like estate
of newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst.
Day 7 LA/Venice Beach
Hang 10, dude! Grab your swimsuit, shades, and sandals. Soak
up some sun on the beach, build a sandcastle, or jump in for
a game of ultimate frisbee. While taking in Venice Beach,
stroll the boardwalk and shop the local artisan market or
watch a street performance. How about topping it off with
a stop in Hollywood to walk amongst the stars?
Day 8 Las Vegas
From one extreme to another, get ready for the bright lights
of Sin City. Las Vegas has it all! Enjoy the tomfoolery with
your new friends.
Days
9, 10 Zion National Park
At Zion, enjoy some of the best hiking around. If you want
a challenge, try Angel's Landing for a rewarding experience
and killer view; and, if you want more relaxing day, hike
to the beautiful Emerald Pools. If you are the adventurous
type, you may want to try some canyoneering (hiking in a river
where the river is the trail) on our second day in Zion, otherwise,
there are endless trails you can continue to explore. Ever
been exteme tubing? Well, get ready because we will spend
an afternoon on the Virgin River splashing around.
Day 11 Bryce Canyon National Park
Next, you will visit one of the most unique parks in the USA,
Bryce Canyon. It is quite simply, nature's sculpture garden.
Hanging out with the hoodoos, a strangely spectacular landscape
with an explosive contrast of colors. Bryce Canyon is very
photographic friendly, so be sure to have your camera handy
during the hike. Later that day, you can cool off with some
fun whitewater rafting down a scenic Central Utah route.
Days 12, 13 Arches National
Park/ Moab
The glory rolls on as we take you to Arches National Park
with its unique and unforgiving landscape. Delicate Arch is
a recognizable icon you won't want to miss. You will wonder
how Balanced Rock stays up, and awe at Landscape Arch.
And, since we are in Moab, the mountain biking
capital of the world, it might be a good idea to get a mountain
bike for the day to hit the legendary Slickrock Trail. This
is adventure travel, so if you don't care for mountain biking
you can always canoe the nearby Colorado River, or substitute
with an off-road jeep, hummer, or ATV tour.
Day 14 Lake Powell
You will love Lake Powell. Its gorgeous, super-blue, and temperate
water makes a dip here very refreshing. We'll let you laze
on the rock beach or revitalize with a leisurely swim in the
cove for a relaxing afternoon. Afterwards, we can check out
the unique and amazing rare slot canyons on a nearby walk-through
tour.
Day 15 Grand Canyon National Park
Prepare for a stunning view as you make your way over to one
of the world's 8 natural wonders, the Grand Canyon. You can
take a hike on one of the trails, or take in the breathtaking
views on the Rim while looking for the elusive California
Condor. The sunsets and sunrises here are absolutely amazing.
Day 16 Las Vegas
Our last day we end this adventure travel tour and head back
to Sin City, Las Vegas, to say farewell.
