Mountain BikingDay 1 Austin
Explore the natural beauty of the city and surrounding areas. Options today include mountain biking, hiking through nature trails, kayaking, or taking a dip in a local watering hole. Check out one of the most vibrant towns in America. Feast on famous Texas Bar-B-Q or Tex-Mex (Texas version of Mexican food). And since it is the live music capital of the world you may have to see some nighttime live music.

Day 2 Enchanted Rock State Park
The Twister jets off with a drive through beautiful Central Texas. We will soon come to Enchanted Rock, which is a huge granite outcropping- the Texas version of Australia's Ayers Rock (Uluru for you world travelers). There are many ways to hike to the top, where you can enjoy an amazing 360 degree view of the area. There are some nice bouldering areas if you want to monkey around and do some climbing.

Day 3, 4, 5 Big Bend National Park
Big Bend has 800,000 acres and we have only 3 days to cover it all. It is the only US national park that contains an entire mountain range, the Chisos. An amazing place to soak up some desert solitude, here is a rare environment with a variety of settings: river, desert, and mountains. There is breathtaking hiking; some trails take only a few hours and some are all day long. The legendary Rio Grande river calls out for some whitewater action of your choice, rafting or kayaking or canoeing. Big Bend is so great and diverse that when you see different parts of it you feel like you are visiting a new place each time.

Day 6 Garner State Park
Time to drive through some more beautiful Central Texas Hill Country. We are heading for Garner, the most photographed state park in Texas. There are several trails to hike but the best one is among the limestone cliffs to the top of Old Baldy. The clear and cool Frio River runs right through Garner so you can swim afterwards or do some toobing (if available).

Day 7 San Antonio/ Austin
Today we will dip down into San Antonio. Remember the Alamo as we tour the historic grounds of this everlasting symbol of Texas independence. Afterwards we can stroll along the riverwalk before heading on back to Austin as we say our goodbyes and wrap up.
